Kundalini Yoga as the “Mother of all Yoga styles” is also called the “Yoga of Awareness and Consciousness”,
Its unique style combines yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), finger postures (mudras), body locks (bandhas), eye focus (3rd Eye Activation) and sound energy (mantras).
It asks for physical and meditative discipline, which can transform your emotions, harness your busy mind and uplift your spirit way faster than any other yoga practice!
Kundalini (sanskrit word for: “coiled up” like a snake) refers to the energy that lays (in every human being) dormant at the base of the spine. Through the practice of Kundalini yoga, this energy raises and travels up the spine, through all the chakras, while creating an overall sense of well being and a heightened sense of awareness.
"Kundalini Yoga is not a religion. Religions come out of it.
Kundalini Yoga is not a fad, and it's not a cult.
It's a practice of experience of a person's own excellence,
which is dormant and which is awakened."
Yogi Bhajan, 7/26/96
Experiencing heightened states of vitality, energy or awareness is something rarely accessible or even unknown to many of us.
Kundalini Yoga is a science, which luckily nowadays can be practiced everywhere, by anybody, who wants to tap into its highest potential and transform not only its body, but also gains control over its mind.
In Kundalini Yoga we are particular concerned with the energy, that resides in our Chakras (Energy Centres) and needs to be distributed through our entire physical body (and beyond).
Kundalini Yoga as thought by Yogi Bhajan is also called the Yoga of Awareness. Becoming “aware" is the next step you have to do after you have been “awaken”. The Kundalini Energy resides in everybody like a “sleeping snake” at the base of its spine and waits to be “awaken” That’s why we mentally have to become “awaken” and physically have to practice Yoga. You can’t tap into your highest potential while you are still asleep (Other than you are in your Yogic Sleep, which we practice at the end of our asana practice: Shavasana. ;-))
For thousands of years, great yogis have gathered the knowledge of human potentiality and kept it secret. Their practices (pranayamas, kriyas, meditations) and wisdom have been passed down through the ages from a guru (teacher) to a disciple (student), who had to prove itself in many ways worthy to receive the teachings. The teachings have been passed on in an unbroken chain, the so called “Golden Chain”. This ancient teachings are just as much intact today as they were thousands of years ago. Thanks to technology they have evolved into forms now available to each and every person at the tip of one’s fingers.
Through Kundalini Yoga we now has the tools to transform.
Transforming our bodies to achieve the body shape we desire.
Transforming destructive thoughts into productive ones.
Transforming our depression to devotion.
Transforming anxiety into strength.
And so on. You can transform anything you want. But not the other person.

If losing weight is important for you, you should definitely choose Kundalini Yoga.
Most kundalini yoga sets incorporate exercises which utilize a great deal of dynamic movement and powerful breathing techniques involving your abdomen (working your core) and working on your stamina. This is ideal for burning fat, increasing metabolism and consuming calories. Many Kundalini Yoga sets (not all are equally intense) are going to make you burn extra calories.
Kundalini Yoga has a multi-dimensional approach to health and wellbeing and ensures that the weight loss is not just rapid, but is natural and safe, while facilitating detoxification and increased metabolism.
Kundalini Yoga is working your entire being and is supporting your soul to fulfill its “soul contract”.
As mentioned to the beginning: Kundalini Yoga is all about making an experience.
I am looking forward to practicing Kundalini Yoga with you and handing you over your personal map to holistic happiness and health!
"In Kundalini Yoga the most important thing is your experience.
It goes right to your heart. No words can replace your experience.
Your mind may accept the words or it may not, but your consciousness will not accept just words."
